POETRY SHOWS
For more than half a decade, Tariq Luthun has performed his poetry across the country, weaving vivid and poetic storytelling with a powerful narrative voice in order to cultivate work with a “bold, fresh take on what it means to grow.” He has been a featured performer at a number of collegiate and professional venues throughout the nation, having shared stages with the likes of Buddy Wakefield, Rudy Francisco, Omar Offendum, Remi Kanazi, and more. Currently, he hosts the Ann Arbor Poetry Slam, the second-longest tenured slam in the United States. Touching on everything from masculinity to his Palestinian heritage to relationships, Tariq crafts his work and performance to make concepts concrete, seeking to address the ether between labels and the juxtaposition within identities.
