DETROITERS' BILL OF RIGHTS
Detroit is in the middle of a Charter revision process, something that takes place only once every seven years. We are working to revise the charter to reflect the creation of a City that finally serves its people. For decades, so many Detroiters have invested their literal sweat, blood, tears into making Detroit the most accessible, equitable city it can be. It’s been a long battle, and we’ve lost so many people along the way.
Today, more than 90+ organizations — as well as countless impacted residents in each issue area — have endorsed the #DETBillofRights. This is a historic moment for us to make a systemic impact on policy in Detroit for ALL residents. If you are a Detroit resident or work with an organization serving Detroit, please join us in pushing the Charter Revision commission to adopt this proposal and move things forward.
